Hi there! My name is Katie, and I am an editor here at Backyard Labrish.
I am a small town girl, born and raised. The two largest cities around me are Atlanta, GA, which is closest, and Greenville, SC. I live in an area that has a higher chicken population than people. The land that I live on has been in my family for at least four generations, and has been farmed since before that.
While in High School, I was in Band, marching every football season I could until my senior year, going to festivals, and even making an attempt at being a teacher for the beginner band members. I am a graduate in Multimedia – web design is what I focused on for the most part, however, I am getting ready to go back to school for Journalism starting in January, followed by Print Design.
My biggest dream in life is to be able to travel the world and learning about the cultures that I visit. I am not happy unless I am learning something new, which would probably explain my current obsession of books!
